Gardening for Wildlife

REPORT. Norton Village Hall: This talk will be an explanation of the ‘certification scheme’ organised by Sallie and David Shaw, who talked about the scheme together with one of the garden assessors, Liz Care was trained by Kent Wildlife Trust to assess gardens for their value for wildlife.

REPORT: This talk and slide presentation was given by Dr. Paul Cullen, of the University of Nottingham, who told us about the derivation of place names in general with particular reference to Kent and the area around Lynsted.

REPORT & SPECIES LIST:Starting in the Community Orchard, Park Farm and then Toll Wood: Jo Weightman, a leading expert on this topic, organised a day of searching and identifying mushrooms and toadstools around  Lynsted. Also look at the Toll Wood Survey of 2000-2001.
