29th April: Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty: Guided Tour, led by Richard Moyse from the Kent Wildlife Trust. Roughly 4 miles, in the Doddington area. Ending at a pub for lunch.
|
|
|
|
1st July: Pugin Trip to Ramsgate: With our own rare Pugin architecture (Kingsdown Church) we hope to arrange a visit to famous Pugin buildings in Ramsgate. If we can persuade our friend David Powell to provide transport in his double decker bus so much the better. All very tentative at this stage.

There are other events run by the Kent History Federation - noted on the events page. Our Society is affiliated, so Members of our Society can take part.

- Search the Website - Finding your way around the website should be easier now with its new search engine - let us know what you think.
- Kingsdown Gunnery - Correspondence and Map (if you want to save this large map for use in other packages (like WORD), “right-click” on the image and select “save image as” option from the menu).
- Updated Parish Census Data plus connection to the Kent 200 year summary (2001) from the Office of National Statistics
- Elisabeth Selby - extracts on Greenstreet (1936) - part of an on-going project focusing on this ancient community
- The Grange, No.18 Greenstreet - Deeds and Census Data.
- Lynsted Church - more research into the North Chapel and family names (Huggesson in particular) associated with it (by kind permission of David Wood)
- Bird Box nest six eggs and counting! There has been some practice feeding in the box captured on video.
