The run of Victorian terrace houses is very attractive and a relic of the industrial village of Teynham when brick making was a major industry, supplying much of London's yellow stock bricks. There are three brickyards in the area (but not in Teynham any longer). Some brickearth extraction has taken place behind these homes and is continuing further up Greenstreet to the south.
