Presentation, Tea Tasting and competition to blend a Lynsted Society Tea

Open to Members and their guests.
Alex Probyn creates blends to match varied personalities and tastes. For the Society, Alex has agreed a price that works out at £13 per head (£10 for Members). We have more than 30 people pre-booked and look forward to seeing an even larger party (up to 50 maximum!).
The event will take 2.5 to 3 hours
The Programme
- Introduction
- History of tea
- Origins and manufacture
- White/green/oolong tasting
- Black tasting
Break (we will provide light refreshments)
- Herbal tasting
- Buying and blending tea
- 'Lynsted Society Blend' creation and tasting (with possible competition).
- Questions and close
With Alex’s help, the group will also create a lovely black tea blend for the Society which he can then blend up on a larger scale after the event and send to each attendee in a 125g resealable bag with the "Lynsted Society Blend" bespoke labelling. The blend creation will be guided by Alex.
After the event, if anyone would like to reorder the “Lynsted Society blend” then this can of course be done through Alex’s own website as he keeps records of specific blends (the Society may also order in bulk for fairs or future events).
