Stedlyn Farm and Dog Track - the Story of the Macey Family

Looking at St Paul’s Court today, you would never guess that it was here that a nationally important greyhound breeder, trainer and competitor set up his business and dog-track - that man was George Stacey (father of Myra Scott who has contributed this material to our archives).

• A quirky insight into the man is found in the wedding anniversary present made up of collected newspaper cuttings and advertisements collected over the years. 
• Myra has also contributed a gallery of images that tell a wider story of the Macey and Scott family connection with the area.  A story that begins in Dover and travels through a fishmonger’s business in Greenstreet, a residence in Lynsted Lane and latterly residence and several business ventures in Lynsted Village; not forgetting the church clock along the way........
